I got divorced at 38. And yes — I threw myself a party.

Not because I was celebrating the end of something, but because I needed to mark the beginning of what came next. I wanted balloons. I wanted champagne. I wanted my best friends around a table telling me the next chapter was going to be something worth celebrating.
